A note about Lycra
Lycra suits are made from a blend of Lycra (Spandex) and Nylon. Typically, the blend is approximately 80% Nylon / 20% Nylon. Lycra suits are known to hold their shape well. However they may not last as long as suits made mostly of Polyester or Nylon. For this reason competitive swimmers often race in Lycra but train in Polyester or Nylon.
