I use to where booties with my fins until at a dive shop the instuctor suggested that I try the shoes. I have an open fins and was concerned about that. He said that we will adjusted them tighter and they worked. Much more comfortable than the boot. Like wearing them, okay on sand but not good on rocks or pebbles. I would recommend them to a family member or friend. They don't roll down when wet either, nice and snug. Just like wearing a sock of a different texture is all.
